Tebah of grace by jenny stade

About me

Hi!  I'm Jenny Stade, the author of this blog.  I am a wife, mother, and registered nurse, but most of all, I am a follower of Christ.  I want desperately to share a passion for the Bible and a hunger for more.

I was reading a devotional about the correlation between Noah and Moses.  Noah and Moses?  Yep!  They both went on a ride in an ark.  Noah rode in an approximate 510 foot long "ark" to be protected during a flood (Genesis 6:15).  And Moses floated down the Nile river as a 3 month old infant in an "ark" made of papyrus and tar to hopefully spare his life (Exodus 2:2-3).  The original Hebrew word in both references is 'tebah' (tay-baw, ×ªÖµÖ¼×‘ָה) which means an ark, boat, chest, basket, or vessel. And something about that really resonated with me.  Both Noah and Moses represented similar things in their lives.  They brought hope; they brought do overs; it was God's means of saving humanity.  They brought grace.  Grace as a free and unmerited favor of God, as manifested in the salvation of sinners and the gift of blessings.

I see myself, I see this blog, as a place that I can just be the ark for God's message.  Possibly, I can be a vessel for our LORD.  My desire is that it will be His words across the page in front of you.  I want His grace to speak to you as you read the words in each post.

As the waters rose higher and higher above the ground, the boat floated safely on the surface. - Genesis 7:18
